charcoalAlways wanted to try your hand at drawing, but didn’t know where to begin?

Join local artist Martin Siegel for a beginning drawing workshop on April 21 at 1pm at the Hudson Library & Historical Society.

Participants will get a hands-on introduction to drawing faces–including handling proportions, expressions and the basics of shading.  Drawing faces from the front and in profile will be explored.  While drawing faces can seem intimidating since everyone’s face is different, Siegel will show how the relationship of features is surprisingly similar.

Registration for this free workshop is required.

Newsprint paper, charcoal sticks and a kneaded eraser will be provided.

Please bring a soft cotton rag and wear clothing you don’t mind getting messy.

Register by calling 330 653-6658, extension 1010.
