Adventurer and environmentalist Robert Swan, the first person to walk to both Poles, will speak on his life as an explorer and his book, Antarctica 2041: My Quest to Save the Earth’s Last Wilderness.
Swan will be speaking as part of a series of educational events to commemorate the completion of a conservation work on a mammoth tusk in the collection of the Hudson Library & Historical Society.
The conservation was funded by a grant from the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
