The Hudson Library & Historical Society continues a series of artist biographical lectures when local art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman discusses the French painter, Suzanne Valadon.

Valadon modeled for several of the most important painters of the day, including Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

Although she could not afford formal art training, Valadon learned from the painters she modeled for, eventually transitioning into a successful artist in her own right.   Attendees will be given an informative postcard that includes facts about Valadon’s life.
